Bridges
A Dental Bridge is a fixed dental restoration used to replace one or more missing teeth by bridging the gap between two natural teeth or dental implants
- Consultation- During the initial consultation, your dentist will examine your teeth and gums, take X-rays, and discuss your treatment options.
- Preparation- If you're getting a traditional or cantilever bridge, the adjacent teeth (abutment teeth) will be prepared by removing a small amount of enamel to make room for the dental crowns. Impressions of your teeth will also be taken to create a custom bridge.
- Temporary Bridge- While your permanent bridge is being fabricated in a dental lab, your dentist may place a temporary bridge to protect the prepared teeth and improve aesthetics.
